Terms and privacy

The plain version. Fifty Hours is a small first test run by one person, with a bot hosting the tables.

What you are buying

One seat at a table of up to five, for one four-week written mystery played on Discord. The price is $15, once. It does not renew. A later season is a separate purchase that you make yourself, if you want it.

All sales are final

We do not give refunds, including if you leave or stop playing, or are removed for breaking the rules. There are two exceptions: you get your money back if we cannot seat you within 14 days of paying, or if the season does not run. The law where you live may give you more rights, and nothing here takes those away.

US players only

This first run is open to people who live in the United States.

Adults only

You must be 18 or over. We check your date of birth at sign-up and then discard it. If we learn someone is under 18 we remove them and give their money back.

Conduct and reports

No harassment, sexual messages, threats or pressing people for personal details. Use the report page or email nick025080@gmail.com. A person reads every report, normally within 24 hours. We can remove posts and people. You can block anyone in Discord yourself.

The fiction, and what this isn't

The cases are fiction. Nothing here is medical, legal or financial advice, or a mental health service. If you are struggling, or in danger, please call 911. You can call or text 988 at any time.

The AI

Cases are written with Claude, an AI model made by Anthropic, and checked by AI readers. No person has checked them. A bot runs the tables on a schedule. In-game host messages are pre-written or written by Claude, using its API, and no person reads them before they are posted. The bot sends what your table writes in the game channels to Claude, with your seat name instead of your username, unless a message trips its safety check. Your email, payment details and date of birth are never sent to the AI. You agree to this when you sign up, and you can leave at any time.

The bot also reads the game channels to mark attendance and to watch for words that may mean someone needs help, and it tells a person when they appear. We do not copy your messages into our own records. They stay on Discord.

What we keep

Stripe handles card payments and we never see your card number. Discord has its own terms and privacy policy. To delete your details, use the link on your seat page or email us, and we will do it within 30 days, apart from payment records the law requires us to keep.
